Greetings from WAMBO
Civic Greetings From Mayor Hope
On behalf of Council and the Citizens of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, I am pleased to welcome all guests and participants attending the 21st Annual Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing, being held August 7, 8 and 9, 2009.
As one of Canada’s largest transportation shows, the Outing offers an engine-revving display of antique boats, fire trucks, cars, motorcycles and tractors. The antique, classic, and special interest cars at the WAMBO Car Show on Saturday and the all-new Icars Car Show on Sunday will be right up the alley of the most seasoned car enthusiasts.
After you answer the siren call of the Fire Truck Parade, there are even more exciting events set to entertain. WAMBO will also offer up a soap box derby, lawn tractor races, live music, and Art in the Park, which will feature artists from all around Southwestern Ontario. Guests can also visit the Wallaceburg & District Museum on Saturday, and see the newly renovated museum’s Glass Gallery display, Sports hall of Fame, and Baldoon Mystery. The parkette, museum and theatre will be filled with exhibits and pioneer craft demonstrations in conjunction with WAMBO.
I would like to thank the Organizing Committee and all dedicated participants who generously contribute their time and effort to make this annual event a success. It is your enthusiasm that allows for each annual Outing to outdo the last!
Come join in the festivities! The way WAMBO ideally couples the antique with the innovative is a reflection of our community’s idyllic combination of culture and commerce that can’t be missed! Whether you are an antique car or boat enthusiast, a first-time casual observer or returning to Wallaceburg to meet up with old friends, I know you will enjoy all that this event has to offer. Sincerely,

Randy R. Hope, Mayor / CEO
