Greeting from our Member of Parliament
On behalf of the Government of Canada, Prime Minister Stephen Harper and the people of Lambton Kent Middlesex allow me to extend a warm southwestern Ontario welcome to all those visiting the 23rd Annual Wallaceburg Antique & Motor Boat Outing throughout this weekend.
As Wallaceburg’s signature event, WAMBO is more than an event – it is an experience! WAMBO hearkens back to a time before the internet, I Pods and information overload when sleek lines, custom craftsmanship and grand design were the order of the day.
As you stroll along the streets of Wallaceburg and the banks of the Sydenham this weekend, don’t be surprised to be greeted by an engaging smile and a friendly hello. The people of Wallaceburg are known far and wide for their hospitality and generosity. For those of you who are WAMBO veterans you know what I am talking about. And if you are a WAMBO first timer I cannot begin to tell you what a treat Wallaceburg has in store just for you, but suffice it to say - you will be back!
To the organizers, volunteers and residents I offer my deepest congratulations and sincere appreciation for another job well done. No one does it better! Each year the WAMBO experience is bigger and better than ever which is a testament to your hard work, dedication and sacrifice. May WAMBO 2011 bring fair skies, a gentle breeze and calm waters for all.
