Greetings from WAMBO

Greetings from Mayor Hope

As Mayor of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, on behalf of Council and the Citizens of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, I am pleased to welcome you to the 22nd Annual Wallaceburg Antique Motor and Boat Outing, being held August 13, 14 and 15, 2010.

Being one of Canada’s largest transportation shows, WAMBO offers an outstanding display of antique boats, fire trucks, cars, motorcycles and tractors, beginning on Friday evening with a car cruise. There will be even more exciting events on Saturday to entertain the whole family with fire truck and police boat parades, the soapbox derby, Art-in-the-Park, crafts, entertainment, local talent, karaoke and visits to the Wallaceburg & District Museum. An interdenominational church service will take place downtown on Sunday and a family jamboree will be held later in the day.

A special thank you is extended to the organizing committee and all dedicated participants who have generously contributed their time and effort to make this annual event a greater success each and every year.

Come join in the festivities! Whether you are an antique car or boat enthusiast, a first-time casual observer or returning to Wallaceburg to meet up with old friends, there is something for everyone to enjoy at WAMBO!

Sincerely,

Randy R. Hope, Mayor / CEO
Municipality of Chatham-Kent
