The Glasstown Players is a platform to provide a program giving the people of Wallaceburg access to an opportunity to practice their skills in the performing arts. This is open to anyone no matter what their age, ability or background is. All we ask for is enthusiasm and commitment if they want to join in on any of our productions and workshops. We are not wholly a theatre company and we welcome all types of performing arts which could include singing, dancing, magic shows even. We also hope that in the future there will be volunteers who would like to hone their skills in music production, lighting, sound, directing and behind the scenes such as costume design, stage design, and promotion. All these aspects of putting on any type of show are skills that are needed in the world of media and arts.
We felt this would be a fun and unique way to raise funds for the museum as well as giving those interested in performance arts the opportunity to gain confidence and experience in performing for the public. Hopefully, if they wish to pursue this as a full-time career, it will give them a step up into their chosen field.
All this while providing entertainment for the public. It is nice to think that Wallaceburg residents can not only perform but also be entertained without having to travel anywhere.
If you or anyone you know is interested in joining our group, we are a friendly bunch!
