At Thamesview Lodge, the Pastoral Care Department is committed to ensuring spiritual and religions care is available for residents and families. Coming "ether as a faith community allows for a variety of Pastoral Care opportunities. Clergy and Layworkers work together to provide a multi-faith experience within the facility and with the community. Pastoral Care Volunteers dedicate time to enhance the quality of life for the residents by providing programs, pastoral visitation, friendship and other special and seasonal pastoral care events & services.

How can I be of assistance?

Our local faith communities are an important part of Pastoral Care to the residents at Thamesview Lodge. Many of our residents once regularly attended community churches, supported community works, and were a part of the spiritual leadership. Now they require us to he faithful and support them in their time of need by: being aware of the need, being alert to those who can help, and being supportive of the ministry.

What opportunities are there?

Pastoral Care Volunteers have an opportunity to participate in community denominational services at Thamesview Lodge, Pastoral Visitation Volunteering, Crisis Support, Special Community Services, Special Pastoral Care Programs, Bible Studies, One-on-One Pastoral Support, Children's Ministry, Student Placements and Music Ministry, The Pastoral Care Department welcomes your unique contribution to the spiritual and religious needs of our residents.

How can I show my support?

You can show your support by becoming part of the Thamesview Lodge Pastoral Care Team. You will receive an opportunity to practice your talents, gifts and skills. You can trust in knowing there is strong Volunteer Support for you and an opportunity to come together for training and dialogue.

Who should I talk to?

You can contact our Volunteer Co-Ordinator at Thamesview Lodge. The Volunteer Co-Ordinator will arrange a time for you to come and discuss a volunteer placement at Thamesview Lodge and will contact the Pastoral Care Co-Ordinator. The number is 352-4823, ext. 323.
