- Feature Story:
- The Necklace
- The cheerful little girl with bouncy golden curls was almost five. Waiting with her mother at the checkout stand, she saw them, a circle of glistening white pearls in a pink foil box.

- In New York City, on a cold day in December, a little boy about 10 years old was standing before a shoe store on the roadway, barefooted, peering through the window, and shivering with cold.
- Does God still speak
- A young man had been to Wednesday night Bible Study. The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice. The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?"
- What about abstinence?
- I was holding a notice from my 13-year-old son's school announcing a meeting to preview the new course in sexuality. Parents could examine the curriculum and take part in an actual lesson presented exactly as it would be given to the students.
- Parable of the candles
- There was a blackout one night. When the lights went out, I fumbled to the closet where we keep the candles for nights like this...I lit four of them.
- He died for you
- The day is over, you are driving home. You tune
in your radio. You hear a little blurb about a
little village in India where some villagers have died
suddenly, strangely, of a flu that has never been
seen before.

- A frail old man went to live with his son, daughter-in-law, and four-year-old grandson. The old man's hands trembled, his eyesight was blurred, and his step faltered. The family ate together at the table.

- One day, when I was a freshman in high school, I saw a kid from my class was walking home from school. His name was Kyle. It looked like he was carrying all of his books.

- A man was sleeping at night in his cabin when suddenly his room filled
with light, and God appeared.
- Struggles
- One day a small opening appeared on a cocoon, a man
sat and watched for
the butterfly for several hours as it struggled to
force its body
through that little hole.
- Faith
- Two traveling angels stopped to spend the night in the home of a wealthy
family. The family was rude and refused to let the angels stay in the
mansion's guest room.
- The Concert
- When the house lights dimmed and the concert
was about to begin, the mother returned to
her seat and discovered that the child was missing
- Hospital Window
- Two men, both seriously ill, occupied the same hospital room. One man was allowed to sit up in his bed for an hour each afternoon to help drain the fluid from his lungs. His bed was next to the room's only window.
- We can all make a difference
- I've always supplemented my income by teaching piano lessons -- something I've done for over 30 years. Over the years I found that children have many levels of musical ability. I've never had the pleasure of having a protégé though I have taught some talented students. However I've also had my share of what I call "musically challenged" pupils. One such student was Robby.
- It's strange isn't it?
- Isn't it strange how a 20-dollar bill seems like such a large amount when
you donate it to church, but such a small amount when you go shopping?

- A store owner was tacking a sign above his door that read "Puppies For Sale." Signs like that have a way of attracting small children and sure enough, a little boy appeared under the store owner's sign.

- His name is John. He has wild hair, wears a T-shirt with holes in it, jeans and no shoes. This was literally his wardrobe for his entire four years of college. He is brilliant. Kinda esoteric and very, very bright.

- A woman repeated a bit of gossip about a neighbour.

- There was a young woman who had been diagnosed with a terminal illness and had been given three months to live. So as she was getting her things "in order," she contacted her pastor and had him come to her house to discuss certain aspects of her final wishes.

- It was one of the hottest days of the dry season. We had not seen rain
in almost a month. The crops were dying. Cows had stopped giving milk.

- A young lady named Sally, relates an experience she had in a seminary class, given by her teacher, Dr. Smith .She says that Dr. Smith was known for his elaborate object lessons.
- The pastor and his son
- Every Sunday afternoon, after the morning service at the church,
the Pastor and his eleven-year-old son would go out into their town and
hand out Gospel Tracts.
- It takes guts
- here was a professor of philosophy who was a deeply committed atheist. His primary goal for one required class was to spend the entire semester attempting to prove that God couldn't exist. His students were always afraid to argue with him because of his impeccable logic.
- Faith to move mountains
- A small congregation in the foothills of the Great Smokeys built a new sanctuary on a piece of land willed to them by a church member. Ten days before the new church was to open, the local building inspector informed the pastor that the parking lot was inadequate for the size of the building.
- Man's desire
- A young man was getting ready to graduate from college. For many months he had admired a beautiful sports car in a dealer's showroom, and knowing his father could well afford it, he told him that was all he wanted.
- Pay it foward
- He almost didn't see the old lady, standing on the side of the road. But even in the dim light of day, he could see she needed help. So he pulled up in front of her Mercedes and got out. His Pontiac was still sputtering when he approached her.

- Back in the days when you could still buy an ice cream cone for a nickel,
there was a little boy who lived in a small town with his grandmother.
