Dictionary meaning

a belief in or confident attitude toward God, involving commitment to His will for one’s life

Bible meaning... Heb 11:1

NKJ... Faith is the substance of things hoped (expectation with confidence) for, evidence of things not seen

NIV... being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see

AMP... assurance (conformation, the title deed) of the thing we hope for, being the proof of things we do not see, and the conviction of their reality (faith perceived as real fact what is not revealed to the senses)

Salvation through Jesus Christ

Saved by faith:

For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God ... Ephesians 2:8

God Loves You:

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life ... John 3:16

All are sinners:

For all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God ... Rom.3:23

God's remedy for sin:

For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord ... Rom.6:23

But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in His name ... John 1:12

All may be saved now:

Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come into Him and dine with him, and he with Me... Rev.2:20

Rejoice and learn of Him

You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier ... 2Timothy 2:3,4
