Healed - Part 1

I have witnessed a miracle before my eyes..

My husband is a truck driver, and was in Chicago when his truck broke down which was on a Wednesday afternoon. They told him the parts needed for his truck would have to be ordered, that he should take a motel room until the following Tuesday.. Friday he called me saying he didn't feel good and his cell phone needed charging. He told me the truck was right across the road from the motel where he said he would walk to the garage and charge the phone. At the time I didn't think nothing of this until Saturday when I didn't hear from him...Sunday yet again, no call from him...I got really worried because I had no way of knowing where in Chicago he was and didn't think to ask him at the time what motel he was in. Monday morning without hearing from him still, I knew something was terribly wrong. I remember Dave told me that his boss had said...he could put the parts needed on labor time, on his boss’s international account. So Monday the Lord helped me remember that conversation with Dave. I called the international place. They traced the account to where they were paying and gave me the name of the garage where the big truck was. I called the garage, got the name of the motel across the road and then was able to call Dave. He answered the phone, and I knew he couldn't breathe. I told him to hang up an call an ambulance.

He was taken to the hospital in Chicago. . I got the name of the hospital from the lady at the front desk of the motel. My son and I decide to leave the next morning.

When my son and I were on our way to Chicago that Tuesday, my pastor called me on my cell to see how we were doing, wondering if we had made it to Chicago yet. I told him we were about an hour out of Chicago at that time. He told me he had been praying for us to have a safe trip and that angels would be around Dave that night...remember this part...its important.

When we got to the hospital they had me go into another room before I could go in and see Dave because they were telling me the list of all the things wrong. It was like a blur to me, so many things I couldn't comprehend, there was so much to take in, then they finally told me it did not look good.

I knew it was bad when I finally got in the room. I fell apart. My son grabbed my hand and we both just stood there staring at Dave and all the tubes. He had 7 bags of things being pumped into him..3 tubes down his throat...all I could do was stand by his bed and pray. He was opening his eyes off and on but had that glassy eyed gray look...a look I remember all too well with my mom just before she passed away. The doctor pulled me into the hallway, about 3:00 pm that afternoon, asking me if there were other family members that should be called. He was telling me he didn't want to give me false hope, but it was not looking good. He said he didn't think Dave would make it through the night. I couldn't believe I was being told this.

About 7pm that same night the nurses had there shift change. They work two shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. The afternoon shift came in and Dave’s nurse walked into his room and said...”Hi I am your nurse for the evening, my name is ANGEL. My son and I looked at each other. We just had no words to speak to each other; at that moment we felt such a peace. I don't know how to explain it.

Remembering what my pastor told me that morning "angels would be around Dave", and to have someone named Angel walk into his room was so overwhelming. Angel the nurse didn't do anything different than what the day nurse did, but within 10 min or better from her being in his room, things changed drastically. All of Dave's vitals were coming back and I mean everything. He went from his body shutting down, to back to normal almost within an hour. The doctor and a few nurses had said that they have never seen a man go from that close to death to a man that is getting healthier by the minute, literally.

The following day I asked the daytime nurse if she could tell me, when ”Angel” would be working again. She looked at me and said, "There is no nurse here by that name that works here.” I said well there has to be, she was the nurse that looked after my husband last night. I thought I would ask the afternoon nurse. She said the same, she knew no Angel and that no Angel worked there. My son and I know we talked to her. The doctor even had talked to her. I KNOW the Lord put Angel in care of my husband that night.

My son an I witnessed a miracle...before my eyes...there is no other way to explain it. God healed Dave. I know that my son and I actually watched a miracle happen before our eyes.

My pastor told me the following day that he had called about 20 people from our church to pray for Dave. Prayers went up and they were answered.

It was quite a week. I was praising the Lord that I did not loose Dave.

We didn't have insurance for the United States. Everyone in Canada is covered by OHIP, but it does not cover you in the United States. OHIP would cover 400 dollars a day since we did not have insurance; the bill was $82000.00 for the hospital. The heart specialist bill was $2795.00, the ambulance bill was $1495.00 and pulmonary bill was $745.00. We don't have this kind of money but Dave was better and on his way back to Canada.

We didn't know how we would pay these bills but we had faith and knew somehow the Lord would show us what we had to do to get these bills taken care of.
