Reflections from the movie Gladiator

Another great movie when you observe the morals and principles the gladiator lived by. Although it was not a Christian movie, we who are Christians, can learn a lot from it, if only we would be as committed to our commander and Lord as this man was to his.: For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain ... Philippians 1:21; No soldier on service entangleth himself in the affairs of this life; that he may please him who enrolled him as a soldier ...Timothy 2:4
He lived, and breathed, and was willing to die for what he believed in.: Then said Jesus unto his disciples, If any man would come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow me ... Mathew 16:24
He loved his wife and son and fought to live for the moment when he would be set free from his responsibility to Rome and be reunited with them. He was loyal to his wife and family and longed to be with them.: Nevertheless do ye also severally love each one his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she fear her husband ... Ephesians 5:33; And, ye fathers, provoke not your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord ... Ephesians 6:4
He was a leader who loved his men and led them in battle, putting his life, as an example, on the front lines where the heat of the battle took place. He would never ask his men to do something he would not do himself. He was a true leader in which the men would loyally serve and die for.: Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an ensample to them that believe, in word, in manner of life, in love, in faith, in purity ... 1Timothy 4:12; For I have given you an example, that ye also should do as I have done to you ... John 13:15
He lived a life, that left a legacy, that would inspire others to follow in his footsteps, long after his death.: I have fought the good fight, I have finished the course, I have kept the faith ... 2Timothy 4:7
Become inspired, and follow Jesus, leading others to Him!
