Book Excerpts
-
How to win souls (pg 96)- Ray Comfort
-
I recently received a letter from an atheist I had been witnessing to via e-mail
"If your right, as you say you are, and you believe that, then how can you sleep at night? When you speak with me, you are speaking with someone who you believe is walking directly into eternal damnation, into an endless onslaught of horrendous pain in which your loving God created, yet you stand by and do nothing.
-
If you believe one bit that thousands every day where falling into an eternal and unchangeable fate, you should be running the streets mad with rage at their blindness.
-
That's equivalent to standing on a street corner and watching every person that passes you walk blindly directly into the path of a bus and die, yet you stand idly by and do nothing. You're just twiddling your thumbs, happy in the knowledge that one day that "walk" signal will shine your way across the road.
-
Imagine the horrors hell must have in store if the Bible is true. You're just going to allow that to happen and not care about saving anyone but yourself?
-
If your right then you're an uncaring, unemotional and purely selfish b-st-rd that has no right to talk about subjects such as love and caring.
-
The Shack (pg 136)- William P. Young
-
Evil is a word to describe the absence of Good, just as we use the word darkness to describe the absence of light, or death to describe the absence of Life.
-
Both evil and darkness can only be understood in relation to Light and Good; they do not have any actual existence. God is Light and God is Good. God is Love, and there is no darkness in Him. Light and Good actually exist.
-
So removing yourself from God will plunge you into darkness.
-
Declaring independence will result in evil because apart from me, you can only draw upon yourself.
-
That is death because you have separated yourself from me: Life.
Movie reflections
Braveheart
As I watched the movie, my heart raced with excitement and beat for a passion to become committed to the spreading of the Gosple of Jesus Christ, with all it's power and might to the salvation of souls, and the revival of Saints to the Glory of God and the furtherence of His Kingdom, according to His Will ... more
Gladiator
Another great movie when you observe the morals and principles the gladiator lived by. Although it was not a Christian movie, we who are Christians, can learn a lot from it, if only we would be as committed to our commander and Lord as this man was to his ... more
First Knight
First Knight inspired me with reflections of loyalty and courage in the character of Lancelot, despite his initial motives for fearlessness. Below are a few thoughts that transpired as a enjoyed the movie ... more
