Support: Configuring EMail clients when you are not dialed directly to Internet Kent

Basic Process

  1. change outgoing mail server to smtp.kent.net
  2. set it so the outgoing mail server requires authentication (same userid/pw as incoming but it should default to that)
  3. change the outgoing mail port from 25 to 2525

In Outlook Express

  1. Go to Tools, Accounts, Mail, Properties, Servers
  2. Change the outgoing mail server to smtp.kent.net
  3. Put a check mark beside My outgoing mail server requires authentication.
  4. Then go to Advanced and change the outgoing smtp mail server port from 25 to 2525
  5. Then click Ok and Close.
