Good Neighbours Programs:
Operation Cover-up:
A winter coat program in Chatham-Kent to help people stay
warm. From 1986 to 2002 - 37,700 coats have been distributed at no cost to men,
women and children in our community. Click Here for

Operation
Sandman:
A free bed program that was first put
in place because there were children in Chatham-Kent who were sleeping on the
floor. This program provides beds to those in need of a bed and since 1999,
Operation Sandman has provided hundreds of beds to children in our community. Click

Operation Rainbow:
Provides couches, chairs, towels, bedding, dishes and all
other household items to our neighbours who need a helping hand.
Operation Re-Bicycle:
A program where citizens donate
good used bikes, which are fixed by volunteers and distributed
to men, women and children. This program helps people find employment, get
exercise, and build self-esteem.
Special Needs/Crisis Response:
A program to assist people who feel that there are no other
services available for them. When you don’t know where to turn - call Good
Neighbours who will be happy to help. The program also loans items such as
hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, commodes, etc. at no charge to the
individual.
Operation Tykes and Tots:
A new program which provides baby needs such as toddler beds, cribs, change
tables, strollers, playpens, toys, potties, highchairs, bibs, coats, snowsuits,
boots, bottles and bikes to children aged 0-6.
Community Volunteer Matching Program:
A program for adults and youth looking for volunteer
opportunities. By filling out an application,
Good Neighbours will fax your volunteer profile to local not–for-profit
organizations, who in turn, will contact you to volunteer with them. Click
