Operation Sandman:

A free bed program that was first put in place because there were children in Chatham-Kent who were sleeping on the floor. This program provides beds to those in need of a bed and since 1999, Operation Sandman has provided hundreds of beds to children in our community. Click here for a photo.

Operation Rainbow:

Provides couches, chairs, towels, bedding, dishes and all other household items to our neighbours who need a helping hand.

Operation Re-Bicycle:

A program where citizens donate good used bikes, which are fixed by volunteers and distributed to men, women and children. This program helps people find employment, get exercise, and build self-esteem.

Special Needs/Crisis Response:

A program to assist people who feel that there are no other services available for them. When you don’t know where to turn - call Good Neighbours who will be happy to help. The program also loans items such as hospital beds, wheelchairs, walkers, canes, commodes, etc. at no charge to the individual.

Operation Tykes and Tots:

A new program which provides baby needs such as toddler beds, cribs, change tables, strollers, playpens, toys, potties, highchairs, bibs, coats, snowsuits, boots, bottles and bikes to children aged 0-6.

Community Volunteer Matching Program:

A program for adults and youth looking for volunteer opportunities. By filling out an application, Good Neighbours will fax your volunteer profile to local not–for-profit organizations, who in turn, will contact you to volunteer with them. Click Here for an application.
