David Farquhar is the Executive Producer of Design Sound Productions an independent audio production and sound design company and the recently created audio theatre performance and production company Voices in the Wind Audio Theatre. He has worked with noted actors, writers and directors from New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, Toronto, Windsor, Huntsville and Chatham. Not only have his radio programs been broadcast on both public and commercial radio stations, they have also been released on CD and cassette.

WAR OF THE WORLDS – Fall 2007
Executive Producer/Sound Design along with
George Zarr, Award Winning Writer/Director/Composer/Producer - Manhattan, NY This Classic Radio Drama was produced for CFCO AM 630 / 92.9 FM for their 80th Anniversary celebration and was broadcast on Halloween Night 2007.

AUDIO THEATRE PRODUCTION AND PERFORMANCE WORKSHOP
Workshop Leader/Executive Producer – Fall 2006
The Voices in the Wind Audio Theatre Production and Performance Workshop was held on October 6th, 7th and 8th 2006 in the Kiwanis Theatre at the Chatham Cultural Centre. The Workshop was produced in association with the Chatham Capitol Theatre Association and was sponsored in part by the Ontario Arts Council and The National Audio Theatre Festivals, (New York). This three-day intensive hands-on Workshop introduced the participants (Secondary School level drama students) to the attributes unique to audio drama writing, acting, directing and the production elements that make up a live audio theatre show. The students were involved in all aspects of audio theatre production from concept to performance.

THE UNEXPLAINED FILES - Summer 1999
Producer/Writer/Engineer - A weekly radio program that explored the Strange, Bizarre and Mysterious. Seventeen segments aired on CFCO AM 630 / 92.9 FM.

THE MYSTERY OF THE HEXAHEDRON (In the Six Fingered Hand) 1996
Producer/Engineer/Sound Design along with Alan Tyler, Writer/Director/Producer - Mountain View, CA. An original full cast Sci-Fi audio drama produced for the audio spoken word market and distributed by National Public Radio’s WIRELESS Audio Collection Catalog. The program was also broadcast on selected Campus and Community FM radio stations across Canada.
