The upcoming 2013-2014 season will see our club celebrate 50 years of curling!  We will be hosting an event which is tentatively scheduled for September 28, 2013 to celebrate.  Plans include a meal, entertainment, a speaker and all around fun at the curling club as we welcome back former members, past presidents and new faces yet to come.  Stay tuned for more information and if you’d like to help out with the planning or have any recommendations for the event please contact the curling club today!

50th Anniversary

Although curling is done for another summer the club remains a busy place.  There will be a farmers market in May and the club is available for rent for stag and does, weddings and family functions. The club will also be undergoing some changes in terms of upgrades throughout the building. Some may not be visible on a normal visit to the club but there is work to be done in the compressor room and some other minor changes and upgrades you will see when you’re out in the summer or next season.

Summer Changes

That’s right, the Sydenham Community Curling Club will celebrate 50 years in the 2013-14 season.  We’re in the midst of planning a celebration to kick off the year, tentatively scheduled for September 28, so stay tuned for all the festivities as more information becomes available.  The celebration will continue throughout the year and we look forward to seeing all sorts of faces, new and old, out at the club next season!
