1473 CANADA   "FAKE" -   # 77 tied bty both "Halifax  N.S.  Aug 15, 01"   and   "PAQUET POSTE"  in red in corner ad envelope to "river Dennis Station, N.S." (handstamp on back).  Cover is a little wrinkled at top left and a little rough on right side from openingThis cover is an example of a fake, which has been pointed out to me and therefore is not for sale, but is placed here for reference purposes for other collectors.  There are a number of different handstamps that were used. I believe it was the former dealer Graham Noble who did this in the late 70s early 80s. There are thousands of them around. Easier to sell as a fake than a paquebot cover. However this one typically sells for about $5.
